Hi everyone, I think it is time to move on from ‘Avatar-gate’. I have closed all threads relating to the matter. I have been extremely surprised that a polite and reasoned request from me to a handful of members to remove avatars that some people found offensive has caused such a strong reaction. I hav...

Hi all,What a week. I dont think Ive ever seen so much comment about such a debacle. I was even surprised at so many Members coming out of the woodwork to vote on Wombats Poll and to make comment, Members who stated they rarely post. I now want it to stop, Im sure we all want it to stop, so lets do it.I mention...

Hi all, I would just like to say how very sorry I am that this issue has spiraled out of control. As I mentioned, I recently had PMs from a couple of members who were offended by how women were portrayed in a couple of other members’ avatars. Knowing the people involved, I knew that they did not mean any h...

How, I will try and keep this short. I am also not looking for sympathy. Due to resent events over the last few days I feel this is needed. Right, now that's out of the way. The hissy fits and the dummy spitting are finished. It reminded me of a market correction on the ASX or and end of season clean out at a footy club except this was self imposed. The people who have let their indignation rule their life, have gone. The ones that want to stay a...

Hi All, I wonder if users would be interested in a chat feature on this site? When other users are on you would be able to say "hi" and maybe have chat about your travels. Not sure how hard that would be to incorporate within the current design! Maybe someone more IT savvy than me may be able to c...
