Mitta Mitta to Bruthen

Hi out there. Has anyone travelled the new sealed road between Mitta and Bruthen. Used to be a mongrel trip. I have an 18.5 foot van and was wondering if anyone has tried it out towng as yet.

Cheers

Wow yeah tiger country up there.

It's sealed now you say, didn't know that.

Be careful of some very tight turns and particularly low tree branches.

Maybe when the road was sealed it would have been widened and some trees cleared.

But what an adventure, you could be the first GN to explore that route, go on do it.

Take care and let us know which route you decided on.

I was up there in fighting the fires . road was bitumen then and ok for the tankers , just a bit windy ( twisty ?) and we had a lot of widow makers but that should be OK now.

Hi, drove the road from Tallangatta to Omeo in April. It was an extremely wet time, but the road is all bitumen and perfectly comfortable with 21ft van. Corners have been cleared of vegetation and no overhanging problems. There was not much traffic on it ,either.Steep in parts, but just take it slowly.

Correct , sealed all the way now & they have done a great job !!! The road from The Blue Duck to Omeo is narrow in spots      ( approx 4 kms ) so treat every corner as if  there is a vehicle coming toward you & you will be OK. Beautiful scenery ..Jim
