Has anyone done the drive over the snow tops from Albury to Jindabyne Just wondering what the road would be like in Autumn and how steep in sections. We would like to give it a go rather than going all the way round.

We are planning to travel from Huskisson to Canberra early next year. We are wondering which route to take that will place the least amount of stress on the vehicle for the climb up the range. We aren't seeking the shortest route just the least stressful. Any suggestions?

I feel the climb up the range here is one not to be done unless you have plenty of grunt as it is a long, unrelenting climb up and no easy trip down on your brakes. I suggest you park the van at the freecamp at Thora which is Ok, and drive up for the day. There are much worse climbs, I'm sure, but this one is not goi...
