Not happy with Specsavers at the moment. After my final cataract surgery 29th Feb I developed some blurry vision as I did when the first eye was done over 3 years ago. All went ok finally and just waited until everything had settled down to get my new specs. As I spens a large amount of time with my laptop on my knees I measured the distance and told the guy that I need the reading section distance to be 24"/60cm. I was sure I had him on the ball.
THEN, when time to pick the clear and sunny bi focals up the first thing I found was the required distance had been roughly halved. The girl told me to take them home and try them AND to bring them back if needed. So, I go back last week to be told I will have to be rechecked!!! So, tomorrow was the earliest they could fit me in!!!!!!! I will have been without comfortable specs since 29th Feb.

Hey! What a brilliant idea John, I've never thought of that before, I must try it. But having a black belt in Judo for a wife has it's set backs when you come to things like that.
Sometimes "Yes dear" has a more satisfactory outcome.
