bit deals solar panels

Hi would like more reviews on the Rich solar panels bought from bit deals in Derrimut Victoria.

Cheaper panels but sometimes work just as well as the more expensive ones ?

thanks

We've had a Rich 200w mono panel from Bit Deals for about a month.

Nothing much to say - it's been fantastic in pretty much every way. It's feeding a 240ah array of AGMs through a cheap PWM controller. It's mounted where it only sees a couple of hours of full, direct sun per day (when the sun's out at that time, anyways) but gets the batteries full very quickly every time. We use them (batteries) all day, every day and they're usually full again by the time I get up in the mornings (I'm a geeky type, though, so am often working late so not up before 8am or so...).

Definitely recommended, and was the best price point I could find at the time ($209 delivered for 200w)

I got my three 200w panels from Bitdeals about two years ago (ordered one to start with then the other two a few weeks later). Delivery was quick on both occasions, about a week. Had no problems keeping my two 230a/h batteries topped up every day, even when one of them got clobbered by a falling branch during Cyclone Marcia a year ago today.

Cheers
Joe

Thanks matt I'm looking for the best option on these panels .. almost bought some from kickass after seeing their video with regards the cheaper panels handles coming off corner panel protectors breaking etc etc !! but at the end of the day if ones saving a few bucks and they work as you have stated might give them a go.

I bought a 220W folding portable from them a year ago and have had no problems. http://stores.ebay.com.au/Bit-Deals
Portables such as a 220W can be rather large even when folded (1200x520mm) so check out the dimensions and consider where you are going to store it (under the bed).
The reason I bought a portable is because we only free camp and I love being under the shade of a tree.
Replaced the 5 meters included cable with some heavier duty wire and an Anderson plug. I can stick it wherever there is sun.
Makes approx 10amps in full mid-afternoon Victorian summer sun. Those black cells get darned hot though!
For security I use a motorcycle disc lock with motion alarm (less than $20 on ebay) and drilled a 6mm hole on the aluminium frame.

Bit- Deals

Can anyone tell me if Bit-Deals is still operating as I have emailed them but am not getting any response.

Would be interested in their phone number if anyone has that. It may have been on some of their paperwork

Try 03 9401 1556

The registered business name is Bit MB.

I last ordered from them around a month ago...

Rich solar panels are infact very good quality, the actual cells are manufactured in germany then assembled in china with very good quality control.

I would recomend them no problem.
