the boat house was in use when we were there in feb 09, they use it to launch canoes, we nearly broke our leg on the damn platform that goes behind it, the thing is 3 feet off the ground just where one wishes to disembark,
we did the perimiter walk absolutely beautifull, we particularly liked the view from "the overhanging rock face" but no snow, we intend to go back when it is snowing but will have to steel ourselves to that first

A "hi there" to you also .. It is a nice spot ! .. If you get the chance to hop across and say "hi" to any members of the HF Radio Group that are onsite, I'm sure you'll enjoy the company .. (if uncertain .. Inquire at Office) Tell 'em you've spoken with Jon the 7360 ..
Hi jandasfun Yes the weather is still not real great here yet but looks like will improve over next couple of days.. Would have been good to catch up with you maybe elsewhere on our travels.Have met some wonderful people on our travels. Kind regards Hotrodbus
Just read your suggestion of a "Naturist Grey Nomads" forum. Why not I ask !! I am sure we could iron out any wrinkles. What do you think ?
Bare Rambler
Hi Bare Rambler and welcome to Grey Nomads, with our without your clothes on. Having observed naturism on Cable Beach, I'm not sure about where and when. However, to each his/her own as long as our actions don't offend others. Safe and happy travels, and enjoy Grey Nomads. Cheers Chris

hi . the most beautiful place i have been to. a little lake, called lake kerford. the water supply for the beautful town of beechworth in victoria ( ruined by the national trust and tourists ) the lake area is just beautiful, the drive from here to the township of stanley ( in winter ) thru apple orchards covered in snow is something to be remembered
Hi Kenmarg, I agree the Beechworth area is very beautiful and I know it well as my eldest daughter lives there and the lake is a great place for a swim, Sue
hi sue the place i was born at. i think the lake you are refering to is lake sambel ( a great spot to have a swim ) the lake i am talking about is out thru silver creek, just off the road to stanley. its beechworths water supply ( no swimming ) my grandfather stocked both lakes with trout and murrey cod. great spots to throw a line in.
I have many favorite spots around this great country, but a couple that come to mind are Barnhill south of Broome and Streaky Bay in South Australia. There is plenty of space at both places if you want to run around nude. For me it's the beaches, fishing and lay back attitude of te people who frenquent both venues. Good health and happy camping.
The tropical sunset brings romantic notions As I gaze across the rolling ocean But the scene is incomplete As I wriggle my toes in the sand beneath my feet.
The majestic palms sway in the breeze The pollens make me sneeze The aroma of frangipani wafting through the air As happy couples stroll here and there.
Aquamarine tinted surf breaks on the white beach My dreams seem out of reach But the tranquil scene before me Calms my life, previously stormy.
Camels amble along the sand in the sunset The accompanying odour is hard to forget Its said the ride is rhythmic and relaxing But its hard to imagine how it could be distracting.
Naked bodies of obscure shapes and sizes Are oblivious to the impact on the observers. The wrinkles, dimples and cellulite abound But they seem to enjoy the freedom theyve found.
There are dozens of dogs of various breeds Enjoying the company of owners, other dogs and the sea Just like the camels their deposits they make One must be aware every step I take.
Thats life on Cable Beach in the north west. Yachts, tinnies and jet skis can also attest, Enjoying the life of ease is the way to go When work allows the time to pass slow.

we just got back from a week on a houseboat at echuca, had a great time, very relaxing, just like five star camping on the water
we had a couple of rides on the steam paddlewheelers and had many yaks with captains various
on the way home we stopped for a couple of hours at swan hill to see the historic village, very good and well worth the visit
Obviously Dave this was not what we expected..... we thought you said Dirty weekend without meaning the water.... Is the GEM still at Swan Hill, there were plans to rebuild her.

the gem is still sitting up on dry dock, not allowed on her anymore as a large pane of glass came down from the top and nearly caught a couple, but I think she is getting rebuilt as the funds roll in
dirty weekend indeed, the dragon wouldn't let me have that
we actually werent that interested in mildura, it was in our way to get home, we had a look at the big cod (quickly) and grabbed a cuppa then shot through to swan hill where we went through the heritage village, (pushing time as usual)
bit of a trick to get down to the paddle wheeler as I remember, it's a bit difficult to catch the lights correctly it sits at the bottom of a cross road and it was pretty busy when we went through

Hi folks, I too am a "kimberley fan" and I too am about to do battle with the big gold god who wears many cloaks, (barley, wheat, a bit of sorghum, some peas), whats your mode chasing, hauling or ripping it off,
I'll be stuck in the header this year, ah well could be worse I remember the days of no cab, just an umbrella, now the cabs got everything
ah!! the dreaded "samplers", many times I was sent back with a grain truck where the moisture level was a wee bit high, with the new headers we can read the moisture content on the go and we dont get caught anymore, we used to do it with our teeth!
I guess you would be opening the tippers feeding the hoppers then, what a job, all that wheat dust
yep with prices that are set this year a few will make a fortune but on the west coast a lot will be crying in their beer! poor buggers cant take a trick!
