The latest Aldi flyer is advertising 38Ah AGM deep cycle lead acid batteries at $99.99 (say $100!). Available from Saturday 29 September. Also in the same flyer are solar mat kits, 2200W generators, portable fridge freezers, plus other camping items. I haven't seen the batteries on sale by Aldi bef...

I have recently replaced the fuel selector knob on my Electrolux fridge, however it is a bit hard to change fuel selection without using a bit of oomph. I`m worried I will be up for another knob real soon if this keeps up. Can someone tell me what is the best way to get the thing moving more freely.

As you will no doubt recall, I managed to break the pin from the power inlet on my van as a result of the power cord refusing to let go. I returned to my van yesterday and met with the electrician. It turned out just as predicted by the wise men of the forum. Firstly, the part was readily available. The job too...

The Tamworth Music Festival has once again, come and gone I recommend this, as a place to put on a bucket list, as there are plenty of free sites within driving distance of the town, (the closest is the one adjacent to the airport on the Oxley Highway, approximately eight kilometres from town), and ther...

We can have a bomb attack, an attack with guns, arrows, spears or clubs. This we would treat as a declaration of war. What about a laser attack or ---- a cyber attack, just because the means of delivery has changed, does that change its purpose? I ask if this continues, at what stage are we going to say enou...

All set for first long trip solo and have done some research, but have had warnings about 'unsavoury' types scouring some parks and campsites. Albany was a particular mention. I have a lockable Trayon slide on with solar, but it wouldn't be difficult to get into when set up with the annexe (as I intend t...

A house in a small town caught fire so the local fire department was called to put it out. However, the fire was far too much for the department to handle on their own so someone suggested that a nearby volunteer group be called to action. Despite some doubt that the volunteers would be of any assistance,...

Hello everyone, I know from past work experience the optimum temperature for batteries to work at their best is around 25-30 degrees but we have the habit of installing auxiliary batteries in places where the temp could be 80 degrees on a normal 30 degree day. There is one good thing about Toyota - th...
