Our motorhome has 3x100amp house batteries. These are now 6 yrs old and thought we might change them to 3x 130amp batteries. The 130's will fit no problem. My question is: Can I just disconnect the 3 batteries and swap them over and reconnect the new ones or should I isolate the house from the engine...

Hi All
Just wondering if any body is aware of roads to avoid heading into Melbourne Ferry Terminal from Doncaster East due to low bridges. Somebody has warned us there are low overpasses heading into Melbourne that may not allow caravans enough overhead clearance?
Cheers

We need power after dark. To run tv. Ac. Microwave and freezer. When stopped more longer term than just a few nights. Im not sure if solar would work for us to power a tv and ac. We have looked at a gentrax 4.4kva genny for a very reasonable price. Has anyone had experience with this brand.

I may have posted my enquiry in the wrong area. I was after some information about camping at Wyangala or Burrendong Dams and sites around the Bathurst area. Thank you Jules, 50 years ago I visited Carcoar, It is close to the district that my father came from. Have not been there with a caravan, so just ne...

After the initial WTH?! of weird vision, I love these! Trial was driving from Caloundra to Roma last night. I had great visibility, and the blind spot mirrors are a god-send, especially in driving rain and low light. We aren't towing (yet), but because we got a non-standard tray (wider than the Mit...

You won't get a better year for wildflowers in the Wild West! After a great start to our winter, the mid- and lower-West's wildflower showing is at its best. The phenomenon of the early winter rain bands streaming from the tropical Indian Ocean this year doesn't happen very often. It's got things fi...

Hi all from reading other posts on other sites that it seems there is a real grey water problem. Do you let it go on the grass / trees that are near you or keep it and use a dump point on the move ????. If you are staying in one spot for some time i think the tank would fill and need to be emptied ????

The compliance plate reads gvm 4490 kg's So you need a light truck licence endorsement so as to be able to drive. My question is this can you get the GVM up graded say to 6490kg's and how can this be done ??

My friend in FNQ has just got the bug! She's done camping of all sorts before but the difference this time is that she's now seperated, and has no caravan. She's just done a trip to Winton with her two grandsons, and a tent. It was successful enough to give her the confidence to do more road trips. But...sh...

G'day All. I have the old type cf50 the one with LED temp lights. If I run it in emergency it will get down to around -15 deg so the gas and compressor should be ok. The problem is as soon as I run it off of emergency it will run for a minute or so until it reaches some sort of temp, it is cooling though, and then...
