Solar power requirement to add a portable Fridge/freezer to my rig

Im thinking of adding a 20l fridge/freezer to supplement my inbuilt 12v/240v compressor fridge in my Sprinter RV. My power source is mainly solar - 2 x 80 fixed panels on my roof and a 120 portable blanket - or 240v when available. I have one house battery. Im thinking this wouldnt be adequate to run...

Hi Folks While not strictly "solar" this seemed like the best place to ask. We are enjoying travelling SE SA now we can. Had planned to go back to Queensland and as a result are finding a BIG lack of 12 volt power from our modest Solar array. Our Jaco 'Conquest' has a built;lt in "mains" charger which is fin...

Exhaust Soot

Ive made myself a copy of a Rock Tamer, obviously not as pretty as the real deal, and have it fitted to my 200 series Landcruiser. Ive cut a hole opposite my downwards facing exhaust pipe and have the mudflap angled at approx 30 degrees. When pulling our 22.5ft van the exhaust soot is blowing back onto the...

40 Watt flexible solar on Bicycle Camper.

I will be constructing a Teardrop bicycle camper soon, to be towed behind my push bike. I intend to use flexible solar panels especially as they are light and can bend slightly to fit on the front of my rounded section of the camper. Re purposing Grid Solar Panels
(Preview)
GTI Solar systems are available very cheap or free these days, when installers upgrade they wont use the original system. I was given a 2KW system & only had space on the shed roof for 1.5KW eight panels. This left 2 spare panels, so I decided to re configure them to give about 22V DC. One I made into a p...
