250AH AGM Battery

How about this little beauty for the price...biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

https://electronsupply.com/12v-250ah-agm-rechargeable-sealed-lead-acid-battery-deep-cycle-dual-fridge-solar/

A couple of these for Free Campers with solar should keep the telly going for a while at a low cost.

Yes/No?

I dont know the brand or quality so really cant comment on that.

However, if they are true to size ie 250aH, then I suspect you will have trouble lifting them and placing them, as they should/would weigh somewhere around 75 to 80kgs each.

We sold 200aH batteries when I worked at Whitworths, and they were a difficult size to place easily in a boat (or caravan), and needed 2 to carry them, and even then they were a pain. Personally at that size Ithink they are more bother than they are worth!

They are only good for home power, and maybe back in the day truck motorhomes.

Hi Richard (Dick0)

Hope that you are well, safe, and looking after yourself

Unless there has been an AGM battery breakthrough, (overnight), it sounds just too good to be true

They are not giving enough information to form a view of (Yes/No), although the price does sound fantastic

On the same website they have a name brand battery (Panasonic) at 100 AH, weighing 31 kilos, at just under $300

The only technical info for this super duper 250 AH battery for $373 is in the pic below

In my opinion, if the salesman is claiming that a theoretically, 250 AH battery, which should weigh about 75 Kg, is (in his words) lite, then I would not buy from him

smile The reason for not buying from that salesman, is purely one of self preservation. I do not wish to find out, if I can run faster than him smile

 NO

When you see a "bargain price" for an item that is unknown manufacturer and unknown seller and no specs or dimensions are offered, keep walking and don't look back IMHO disbelief
