You can't go past this place for a great experience and it's dog friendly too. Sit around the camp-fire at happy hour, then head inside the open sided shed for a great black and white movie. The hosts, Kim and Glen will look after you for just $10pn, unpowered, well worth the cost.

Walkamin Central Van Park has to be the best place to stop on the Atherton Tablelands just 12 Klm south of Mareeba , Between Atherton and Mareeba at $22 a night , I did look at Rodeo ground at $17 a night , They get really packed in there .

Stayed at Tattersalls caravan park $ 30 a night which includes 2 pots of beer or wine when you have a meal at the hotel accross the road the park is right in town , free use of two washing machine , The North Gregoery hotel is $10 a night no power or water and bucket to be used for waste water and no geni to be used...
