Be aware: these roads are ROUGH! The graders haven't been through (late June 2021), and vehicles are taking a hiding. Just travelled this road, 45 km and for 40km this is a new road, wide and very good, till you hit the Qld border and for the final 5 km it is a gravel road albeit smooth, cant Qqld find the money for 5km!!! Graeme

Hi If and when the Queensland border is opened we are planning a trip to North Queensland, we were planning to go from Innisfail up to Millaa Millaa. Some years back authorities advised against using this road towing a caravan. Don't know why. Anyone got any info on that route. Thanks
