I'm about to head north on the NWCH(again) and being school holidays no doubt the road and rest bays will be chockers AGAIN ! Last year was very busy. I like to pull up for the night at one of the cleared MRD blue metal storage sites off the road a ways(GPS waypoints only). We've had an abundance of rain along the west coast this year and about to cop another dumping all along the west coast on Monday morning...., a bit less in the northern section above Gerro.
I expect they'll be a bit of excess water on the roadside(plus wildlife and livestock) ..., but can anyone tell me if there's still water in the floodways and rivers north of the Murchison..., namely the rivers at Wooramel, Gascoyne, Minilya and Lyndon ? What about floodways between Carnarvon and Minilya ?
I'll be heading north after Mondays front..., hopefully with a tail wind.
