There's a lot of road works going on and much more traffic than there used to be. Trucks, semi's, road trains, wide loads, and mining vehicles. And Caravans! Be sure you have your UHF on Ch 40.

After the rain a week or so ago, the roads between Moree and Rockhamton are very very rough in sections with sections of traffic controlled road works, also watch for trucks carrying the gas line pipes they won't be watching for you
