I would love to check out Lawn Hill and surrounds but would be keen to hear about access. I have a Toyota Hiace Campervan and would come down from Karumba. Does one need a four wheel drive? Is the road sealed all or most of the way?

Hi all Rob Here, i wish to glean some experienced info on which road/Hwy to climb the Snowy. Currently traveling Ring 1 at Narooma now looking at Eden in May then hanging right onto the Snowy Hwy (looks twisty) or onto the Monaro Hwy heading towards Gundagai. Looking forward for your reply

Anyone travelling to the cape, check the road conditions, as Weipa has had 28mm of rain since 9am. RACQ alerts don't cover small creeks that will rise very quickly. Remember you may be some distance from help if you run into trouble. Take care Darmc
