Most of us are using a G P S now days and have our address at home saved as ''Home'' Crooks are stealing your GPS and know (obviously) that you are not home.... To save your home being burgled make your home address as any number......instead of the street number where you really live. Cheers

Hi to all of you full time GNs. How did you do it? Did you sell up? What did you do with items you kept etc etc? What, if any, are the downsides? We would like to go full time but my lovely better half has many things she would like to hold on to and we were discussing the ways and means to do it to keep us both happy....

We arrived at Yarrawonga and did some shopping had coffee and a pie. we then found a free camp at Greenbank, where we stayed for 3 days, this was a lovely free camp with brand new toilets, heaps of space. Also a lovely sandy beach. Today we drove 40 KLS to Cobram, the dump was at the show grounds where we fi...

Just wondering if anyone uses a dehumidifier. If so, what sort and approximate cost. Im thinking of someway of reducing condensation while we are camped in cold weather. Have tried leaving a window open but its soon going to be just too cold.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place to leave a largish caravan somewhere near Perth while the owners are in England for a while. Our friends are currently in Victoria and will be heading west to W.A., and then will be travelling to London to visit family. Any suggestions would be appreciated, than...

I want to have some music and local radio in our van and wonder what you folk out there did to solve this situation. I guess the simplest solution would be to get a car radio/cd unit fitted as this would be 12 volt. The other option is a small portable bedroom type stereo which would not take up much room, can...

This is a new one. [On me, anyway.] I had a Phone call this morning, advising me that the Australian Government in Sydney, was going to pay me over $7,000 of supposed Bank overcharges, by either Bank transfer, or by Cheque. I played along, and asked for a cheque. The caller gave me his name, Paul Johnson....

Hi everyone! Hubby and I are both wanting to start our nomading days but all we have is a large family tent. We do have all the camping equipment we need but just not the preferred caravan/campervan.

May I throw my hat in the ring regarding "Free Camping" Personally I would much prefer the word "Independant Camping" Free camping gives the impression we are freeloaders who want something for nothing and give nothing in return. Many GN's are on a tight or limited budget and...

I left Launceston on March 18 and travelled the Newell Hwy. To Mapleton, at the back of the Sunshine Coast, Qld. I am now on the return to Melbourne, with a stop at Finley NSW.
