Road from Texas to Stanthorpe

currently at Texas Qld which is a lovely spot, great free camp. We leave tomorrow for Stanthorpe and wondering which road to take. Texas, Pikedale, Stanthorpe or go via Bonshaw to Tenterfield and then up. . ? Width of road and windy either of them. Thanks for any advice
