This year the weather gods were kind to us for our get together here in Seabird WA, and we had about 14 or 15 vans here, had a blast. Most have left now, those of us who are still here are mostly from over East, and we will all be leaving over the next few days to continue our travels. Sufil (Sue and Phil and dau...

OK, it is Sat night and I have had a couple of sherbets, but think I am still in control. When I tell my friends my hair is naturally as black as coal, and I use a grey tint in my hair so I can qualify as a grey Nomad, they all look at me a bit funny like. I am curious to know if, I am on my own in this trauma, or are ther...

I notice a lot of people having trouble backing their caravans in be side concrete slabs. I thought I might share a little trick I developed early in my 30 years of caravanning and it goes like this. (A) Always back in from the right hand side so you are looking out the drivers window. (B) Measure the over...

I recently purchased a new Silverline, I thought it would be a good idea to get an extra door key in case I needed it. I called into Jayco Geelong only to be told you can't buy spare door keys, what, you spend $70,000 and can't buy a spare key. I called Jayco head office who thought you should, but you have to r...

OK, if this is not startling new info, I apologise and will back off. In the mean time my neighbours little Jack Russel Harry, jumped up and stuck his nail (claw) into an artery in my shin, and because of all the aspirin I take, I started to bleed very fast. Maybe 100 Mil in a couple of minutes. My wife slapp...

Hi Can anyone tell me how to straighten up an awning that has been put onto our van and is crooked. Unfortunately we realised too late what the problem was and we can't return to the dealer who put it on for us. Looks like we're going to be doing it ourselves. We need to be able to slide it over about 1 inch wher...

Because of the soft rear of the vehicle, I would be interested to know "how many are towing with a WDH which is not authorised by Izuzu".

We're buying a compact 4x4 mobile home and would like to have a bit more storage space. The vehicle comes with a bathroom, seperate shower. We were considering turning the shower into storage space (we'll have an outdoor shower and aren't averse to a wash down when wild camping). Would love to have t...
