Paper Maps vs Digital
(Preview)
I have been recently studying online maps and find that many are sadly lacking in as much as they are not up to date. It was bought to my attention when I learned that the road from Rolleston to Blackwater in Queensland has been upgraded to bitumen and I believe this work was completed in late 2017 or early...

Interesting passing maneuver.
(Preview)
Towing the caravan from Victor Harbor to Adelaide today, had a person pass me on the left using the run-off/ run-on lane from a intersecting road on my left. Gave me a bit of a surprise. Could have ended quite nasty for him if he had he run out of cycle track.

Reminder to drink water
(Preview)
Hi all, its going to be 45 C in Adelaide tomorrow and 49 C in many other towns around the place, so just a reminder to drink plenty of water. Yeah, I know it's commonsense, but it can save lives in that sort of heat, especially if you are caught out in a van, etc. Also keep an eye out for fires too. Thanks folks....

I added a comment in the recent Touring Eyre Peninsula post that the Townsville City Council was reviewing the running of the free camp sites in their area - there was a suggestion that a fee would be incurred. Brand new member, we have recently bought a 2015 22.6ft jayco Starcraft outback model caravan
Its our second van but this one has three bunks and we really only wanted two, the down side is it makes the three bed areas very squishy. As we have an 18 month old it would be nice to be able to sit on her...

Gday... Rather than have further 'off topic' conversations about catch cans drag the 'Towing with a Jeep" thread further astray, I thought I would ask my question in a fresh thread. Many people on this, and other forums, talk about how they have had their vehicle for many 1,000s of Km (some 300,000Km+...
