Non PV

In a month's time we are doing a trip on the River Road from Hume Village to Corryong.

I noted a reserve at River Murray Reserve due east of Walwa, as I am keen to wet a line in the upper Murray at any opportunity.

It says the Murray River reserve is Non PV.

I think it means "Photovoltaic", which I think is another term for Solar panels.

Can any of you techo guru's out there confirm this please?

Also going to check out the Colac Colac caravan park which receives some very good reviews.

Bit busy at this time of year though I think as it is not far from the snowfields.

The River Murray Reserve, often referred to as a "non-PV" or "non-Protected Area", is a reserve in Victoria, Australia, not a South Australian reserve. It's managed by Parks Victoria. This reserve is part of the Murray River Adventure Trail and includes trails and facilities from Barmah National Park to Koondrook.

Nothing to do with solar.

Cheers,

Peter

In my view, Murray Cod should be catch and release, especially big ones who can help control carp.

I always kiss and release my murray cod.
I think they are the grand old man of the river.

Any Yella Belly or decent flathead in the salt are in grave danger though.

You will catch a trout at the CP. In the Nariel / Corryong creek.

Don't book near the camp kitchen, they come down turn on the TV, cook and take their meal back to van,and leave the TV blaring.

We are catch and release, but for a change we kept one.

Go up to the Mittamatite lookout,on River Rd
