Newbie here. Wondering who has driven from Lakes Entrance to Mounty Beauty via Omeo-Hotham-Harrietville and what your experience was. We are travelling from WA to SA, Vic and NSW from 11 September returning home to Mandurah WA on 10 December. We have an 18'8" Essentials Cruiser van towed by an Isuzu MUX. We have not driven in the GAR region previously (or anywhere in Vic!!). We have had advice from the caravan park to go via this route, which is supposedly much better than via Falls Creek. Your (kind) thoughts please?
