Could someone help me with the search function. Every time I put a word in the search function I get no results to match your query. This is on search and advanced search. A simple word like caravan brings up no results. Hope you can help.

Congratulations. You have just found out what all of us have known for a long time, namely that this forum's search function is a pile of garbage.

Instead, use Google's advanced search:

https://www.google.com/search?q=caravan+site%3Athegreynomads.activeboard.com

In fact, the search function doesn't seem to work at all now. Some time ago I noticed that RSS feeds had stopped working, so I'm wondering whether some software update has broken these features and potentially others.

The last post in my GN RSS feed is dated Nov 20, 2024, so that could be when things went backwards.

Welcome to the Forum, Mick.
Yep as Dorian said, much could be done to improve the search function.

There are ways to get a meaningful result but there aren't any simple instructions.

First you must be in the correct location/heading (ie technical, just joking, for sale or whatever). If you are aware of an article that a member has previously posted, you can enter their name, go to their profile and then see what they have posted - laborious I know.

Most new members just ask a simple question in start a new topic in technical, weights and measures for instance, something like (what is the best tow hitch?) and a member (like me) will advise that DO35 is best - you will then be inundated with replies from fans of other types of towing mechanisms.
