I remember watching that as a kid, & I laughed at the jokes which adults & kids could understand.

 

Still can't believe level of layers on layers of jokes. Ronnie Barker was brilliant, to put it mildly.

 

The sad thing, is you couldn't write stuff like that today.

 

I always like him reading the news where the second half of the sentence became the first half of the sentence for the next topic, utterly changing all the original news stories into an alternative second set of news stories. Brilliant stuff.

 

Now that reminds me, better revisit the Goon Show.
