G'day, Ian and shaz here from Brisbane, We are new to the forum and the interesting world of caravaning and life on the road. We just picked up a second-hand phoenix nomad phase 3 from a yard around the corner from home as we had a few hiccups trying to buy interstate (almost got taken for a ride) alas hopefully in the next 6 months or so we can fully retire on the road.
We are just looking for a bit of direction on the forum here as we have plenty of questions and plenty to learn and are not sure where to start here, we have done some reading on here in the different categories and such and will be posting in a few of them, hopefully, I do not make any mistakes sorry in advance. We look forward to hearing from everyone on here and I hope to learn as much as I can.

Welcome to the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge here, with many members having a good general knowledge of all things caravan, and other members having great knowledge on specific topics. A quuck look on line shows that your model of van is regarded as one of the best models ever built, but I have no direct knowledge of it. Tare weight looks good and carrying capacity also looks good, while overall weight rating (ATM) is not excessive. Seems that almost any car could tow it, so you probably are not too restricted there. What car do you plan to use? If you could supply a few figures off the compliance plate, usually found in the boot, we may be able to offer advice with your weights. Need ATM mainly, along with GTM and axle carrying capacity, which may be different from one another. Tare means nothing, but would be good to know plated tare as a starting point. Remember, the only silly question is the one that you don't ask! Good luck. Cheers
Hi everyone my name is Robin, 65 in October, I am a disability pensioner. I am and have been single 14 years, I live at the present in Townsville Queensland in a van park, I am rebuilding my trailer and thinking or hoping of moving south in 3 to 4 weeks or so. I would prefered To travel to Cape York, hope people understand in my saying this, but finance won't allow it. As to being on one's own on a pension.
