I'm sure this question has been asked many times before but I am just looking for some advice on caravan movers.
We live in a very narrow street and the distance between the front of the house and the fence line is quite small. Driveway is wide so easy enough to get up but then moving the van into a position so that we can still get the car into the driverway/garage is very difficult.
We live at Caloundra and would love to hear from anyone local who has a caravan mover and would be prepared to show me how they manoeuvre their van around using a caravan mover.
In addition I would like to get others thoughts in respect to the Optitec/Camec/Purple line movers?
What you get will be on condition of what you are prepared to spend. There is some rubbish out there so be careful.
I did this a while ago now and I narrowed it down to the Parkit or the Powerwheel.
I got the Parkit with the reason that it had bigger drive wheels as an option.
I was very impressed with the Powerwheel and it is Aussie made as well. The Parkit is made in Canada from memory.
My thoughts were that you really only get what you pay for. I dont have any buyers remorse at all with the Parkit. It does what it is supposed to do. I power it with a N70 Battery which is mounted on board by the manufacturers design and provides more weight to assist with the drive. I use plastic clip together panels to go under the drive wheels when on the grass. Actually my son has used it more that me as it is used to get the boat in and out while I am away. When I get home it puts the caravan back in place across the grass without a problem
I would not discount the Powerwheel as it has some true grunt as well. See the video on them. Go to UTube and search them out. Amongst the junk that will appear you should find both brands fairly easily.
