I did, and I laughed every time

In basic training, we had a trainee soldier, whom was left handed, given an grenade in his right hand, and told to pull the pin and throw it, so he did, he threw the pin, if it wasn't for the instructor being on the ball, and knocking the grenade out of his hand  over the  embankment, both of them would have died. We were in the bunker attached, and the explosion was deafening.
