Hello to everyone, i am planning on starting to travel solo mid June next year. I am in Vic and will be heading north, i was reading up on some solo posts on your forum and there was some great advice there. I am in my late 50s and have decided life is too short, got to get out of the rat race here in Melbourne and smell the roses. Hope to catch up with some of you on the road. In the meantime it is back to planning the trip, which is also enjoyable, stay safe everyone Cheers, scozzy
Welcome to the gang scozzy, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I am solo and travelled around 8 out of 12 months for three years then went full time living in my aluminium tent and have been doing that for 7 years now. I still haven't finished the Eastern states. Covid has slowed me down a bit until it seems safe to get back at it. I stay at free camps, low cost camps, donation camps, show grounds and caravan parks.
I have met many members from this forum and many others not. I have made many friends, some life long. Luckily, only a handful I wouldn't bother with again.
Do I love it? You bet ya.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Welcome, yep go for it. I haven't done many trips as I bought my vehicle just as Covid hit. But I'm going too. I wish I had started at your age as you only live once. Happy travels
