RE: Lithium batteries

Yeah the freight in Aus is in total disruption atm, I was meant to receive 2 other packages from China (aliexpress) one Left a couple of day before the other and sat in Singapore for about 2 weeks according to the tracking while the other was meant to be in Aus to be delivered between the 1-11 and 5-11, the other package arrived Friday the one meant to arrive........ well still waiting.

your setup looks good, mine is still sitting in the garage at about 70% SOC until I receive the rest of the parts to finish it's construction. I'm almost at 100% of power ready now with all my solar, 20Amp dc to dc, victron MPPT and backup PWM controllers now I just need to work out my LPG and I would Like to put new tires on the trailer then I'm ready to start my trip covid has kept me from taking things to my sons so I'm a bit behind schedule but hey that's life.

Hope you enjoy your trip.

Well after doing a little more reading I decided to remove the threaded rod compression.  Im sure 2000 cycles will be enough for me over the next 10 years but by then there will be different battery chemistry. Instead I have stuck the cells together with mounting tape and still kept the cut down chopping boards on the ends at they make great carrying handles. I then bound the whole pack in Gorilla tape. My BMS is still mounted on the top which I prefer rather than being on the side of the pack.

Im so impressed with the cells that I have ordered another 280AH pack and BMS for Amy.

Yeah I almost ordered more but decided to wait till the new year as I would prefer to order another 2 sets and I'm not sure on the delivery dates at the moment given some of the on flow affect from covid issues and where I will be when they arrive as I will need to have them sent to my sons in Melbourne and I will not be back in Melbourne until Dec 2022 so that makes it a bit difficult to arrange delivery given the lack of tracking and time for shipping no lol
