Well, let's start with the Lux ad. It appears to date back to the 50s or 60s. It makes reference to a woman's vagina, and it does so by way of a slang term. Then it tells the reader that it smells like a dead fish. Something does smell fishy, and I don't mean the woman's mimsy.
Then there's the ad where the kid is eating a slab of butter. Notice that the slab is precariously balanced on the tip of a single tine of his fork, a sure sign of bad Photoshopping. Here is the original ad:
"About seven or eight years ago, I [RJ White] made this fake ad, exhorting parents to give soda to their babies. It was done on a bored afternoon when J.D. Ryznar asked for someone to make that very specific thing on his livejournal. I whipped it together, posted it to the web, joke over."
