It may come as a surprise to some, but there are people who are unable to discern parody from fact. The response to your recent "Discussion topic" in the "I digress" section would confirm this. In fact I wondered whether you yourself were aware that it was a joke. Moreover, the fact that the current joke appears at snopes.com would suggest that many people didn't get it.
