ProStar-30 controller question

Solar question. I have a ProStar-30 solar charge controller. i have a 120w solar panel and 2x120ah batteries. usually with the solar they sit at 13.2 v when not using the van. last week i connected a 200w blanket to the batteries direct using the blankets controller. when the i did the volts read out went to 15v and after a minute or so i removed the blanket. this morning the volt reading was on 12.8v, yesterday was about 12.9v, and the red light on the ProStar-30 was flashing indicating low charge. anyone got any ideas on what is causing this. was plugging in the blanket the wrong thing to do.
Ross

All fixed. a couple of other guys from another forum said to reset the controller, i disconnected the positive wire from the battery and reconnected it after 20 seconds and this must of reset the battery and now is back to normal.
Thanks.

I also have 2 x 120ah AGM batteries (Remco) and the Prostar controller as in the photo by Aus-Kiwi above. My query is what setting should the battery type be on ? ie 1,2 or 3 in the photo above. I have previously asked this question with varied responses. It has been set on 3 (Flooded) for a year now and seems to be working fine, however due to past varied responses I am never sure ? cheers

 Hi KM smile

Well I might think it is clear that they are sealed AGM batteries so 2 is the right selection IMHO.hmm
