Update

The installation of Bollards East and West of the Boat Ramp has been fully completed.

The Bollards have LITTLE or NO effect upon the original camping sites. They do, however, stop camping upon the lake shore and have solved the environmental issue.

All camping sites have been cleaned up after the Installation of Bollards and with a bit more rain more vegetation will return as prior to the works.

The Bollards have had minimal impact to the joys of camping at Greens Lake and the lake remains one of the premier camping locations in Victoria, if not, Australia.

The new flushing toilets and the dump point remain fully functional. The shower amenities are currently locked.

The new undercover electric barbeque area is operational.

It is now a requirement to remove your rubbish from the Greens Lake camp site. Bins and bin collection will no longer be available.

Hi Richard, did the bins come back, or are they gone permanently

Wish I was there

Hopefully in 2022

No rubbish bins are a very short sighted idea from the local council. Whilst a lot of campers will take their rubbish out with them, no bins just encourages the idiots to leave their crap spread all over the camp site.

Tony, the bins are here during Easter and will probably be removed next week. Signs have been erected to now remove your rubbish.

Greg 1, I don't think it has anything to do with the council. GM Water owns the site and makes the decisions.
