We use one around our block of units, about 100m˛ of lawn. It works brilliantly. Just have to get the blade position just right.
We bought a few mowers for spare parts just in case. The old Flymo model is the best, which is not sold any more, unfortunately. We have bought one for $10 & other for $30.

My shed fridge is around 45 years old, only 110 litres, took a day and a half to defrost recently, forgot about it. I have measured its electricty use -age though and still as good as a new one, and more space inside somehow.

Are you sure. We just replaced our 3 decade old fridge & the new fridge is using a third of the power. Ran the fridge via a single phase sub meter for a few weeks.

Pretty sure When, I had a couple of large power bills, so got one of the plug in measuring devices and went right around the house over 2-3 weeks. Turned out it was the 240v caravan charger. I thought "float" meant no power consumption, but not ours, it was running almost 24/7. The little fridge only gets opened once a day and in a cool spot. It was excellent and was a prime suspect, but not so.
We never had one of those flash sprinklers
A few of our vampire items were our washing machine, off at the wall now.
A couple of old AM portable radios with an off switch but were not actually off, so off at the wall now. Similar to some hi-fi components, some I don't use often so that group are on a separate off switch.
Computers that I don't use, off at the wall (actually with the plugged pulled out).

I can remember the appliance models that came before the ones shown. The ones depicted look quite modern.
It used to be all domestic toasters had drop down side doors, a radiator had a pineapple shaped element in the middle of a mini satellite dish, the radio got plugged in to the light socket, the sewing machine ran by foot power on a treadle, electric beaters only had one speed, you knew the telephone switch lady by name and your phone number started with a letter.
My mother at 95 is still using the first bakelite Teledex that we got when we first got the phone on in Maidstone (Melb west) - FX 4595. She still has a couple of unopened refills for it too.
That avatar, that you have got there Blues Man, do you think , the powers to be would allow, you to go around with a caravan, like that or even a modern one, to be pulled by a tractor today in OZ. I have been interested in doing it, as I am not keen on doing with a horse and carriage.
