Newbie with a new S/H van.

G'day all. I have been retired for 5 years and the wife is on a disabled pension. We currently live on Bribie Island and are now keen to travel up/down the coast and around the creeks and rivers. " Keen fisherman". We have bought a 1999 Jayco Westport 18ft hard top with wc shower etc. Wife is laid up with a broken leg " no load bearing" so we looked around for awhile as there was no rush and found this van on the island. The chap that was selling is in bad health and his travelling days are over. The van is in very good order with just a few things requiring repair., mainly plastic bits old and brittle. The major problem is the Dometic fridge's heaters are both kaput so tossing up whether to repair or fit a bigger fridge. It's been a fun time finding how everything works and is wired in. Breaksafe, fridgeswitch etc etc.

Need to ask what are the 3 pipes running the length of the van with screw on caps for? If anybody could help please.

All the best.

Bob.

Welcome to the gang Bob, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I think you find those three pipes will be for grey water hose or maybe even grey water itself.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Bob, do a " search " on 3 way fridge replacement. You will find 10 days reading easy. Generally seems not worth spending much on repair unless you get a FIRM quote.
