A couple of years ago we let our neighbour use our garage while we were away. I received a text message from another neighbour that there was an accident but the neighbour is ok, but there was a bit of damage to the garage wall.

I said glad she is ok & the brick walls needed some repointing anyway.

I got a message back that it was a bit more than repointing!

The car had gone through the rear brick wall. Luckily before we went away I had cleared the garage from turps, lighter fuel, metho & paint etc. The 19mm timber plywood panel & shelves had stopped bricks going through the windscreen. The car was written off & $10k to redo the brickwork. Luckily the roof didn't collapse, we had that replaced a few months earlier.

P.S. No girl friends involved!
