A man wakes up from surgery and is greeted by the doctor, who says "I'm sorry sir, but I have good news and bad news, which would you like to hear first?"

The man sighs and says "I guess I would like to hear the bad news first doc." "Well the bad news" says the doctor "is that during the surgery we had to amputate both your legs."

The man asks "what could possibly be the good news then?" The doctor replies "The man in the next bed wants to buy your slippers."
