A woman arrived rather late at night at a seaside hotel where she had made a reservation.

All the lights were out, so she knocked on the door.

After a long time a light appeared in an upstairs window and a man called out.

"Who are you? What do you want?" he yelled down.

"I'm staying here!" the woman replied.

"Stay there then!" he yelled back, slamming the windows shut and turning off the light.
