Hi all I have heavy duty washing machine waste hose possibly 50mm I want to shorten it but unsure how to cut it. It has wire running through it to reinforce it. As its 20mt long I want to reduce length and if needed use a connector to connect it back up again. Im just unsure how to cut it I would like to hear from someone that has done it. TIA
Seen a guy last week with a jaco 5th wheeler he had the 50mm flex hose , he had interlock joiners on it in lengths of 2.4 m , he said he did it himself got the flex pipe fittings from an irrigation shop . I agree with aussie paul if you have access to an angle grinder , but use a 1mm stainless steel wheel about $1 ea at bunnings
Fiddlestix, I bought a couple of 1 metre lengths of hose (designed for Creepy Crawly pool cleaner) at local pool shop. Also bought a collapsible 20 litre container to discharge water into - fits perfectly and qualifies as "Self Containment"

Sparkster, collected water can be used as appropriate - it sometimes is used to water gardens - the collapsible container had two handles (One on top the other at side to assist pouring) as it has a cap water can be carried in vehicle to Dump point if required.
