Howdy, my name is Leanne... I'm in my 50's and ready to do a bit of travelling... have done a bit of travelling with my son in and around Australia and am looking forward to going solo now as my son is now working and fully independent... So wondering if any other solo travelers could give me some advise on where to go first. Looking forward to meeting and having a chat with like minded people...

Not knowing; How you travel is the first obstacle. Where you have already been, second. Lifestyle choices/personality ie Hippie at heart or ? third. Time allocation to working/sightseeing, fourth. Hobbies and interests, fifth. What can you afford, sixth

I believe you have to honestly answer these questions to yourself, write down all the variables, each on a separate piece of paper. Then allocate a priority to each answer - voila! You now have a plan.

Go in direction of climate that you like . Usually north in winter . We started Mt Gambier end of Feb all around the coast to Perth . So by the time we got up higher in WA . It was mid winter. Still 22*+ days . .

G'day Greenacres and welcome to the forum.  Don't forget to try the two ongoing games here - 'Who is This' in the 'I Digress' section and 'Pick this Place' in the 'General' Section - a great source to find new places to visit. Where to go - where ever you want :) All based on where you are and how far you wish to travel.  Suggest just doing short trips and doing everywhere - just have fun.
