Ibought a BOAT.

Just bought a 2.4m inflatable with a 60lb electric motor.

Now I will need to be able to make the boat mobile to travel to the water. soooooo

What I have done is...

With a my old small hand trolley, I cut the handles off above the brace down near the wheels.

Then attached a piece of patio timber to the transom.

Then drilled 4 holes in the base plate of the trolley and piece of timber on the transom

Then attach the trolley by way of wing nut bolts to the transom.

I now can move the boat to the water edge and launch.

Then when in the water, remove the trolley wheels.

Then attached the motor.

Cost was about $25 for my new replacement trolley. I had the timber and wing nuts

And hopefully we are then out on the lake fishing and catching red claw.

Will test run in May when we head up north for our winter trip.

Just curious J/D what sort of battery are you using...

I can not advise the brand of the boat as it is packed away, but it is a known brand.

As for the battery it is a Century Marine pro 620 battery.

Hope to splash a little wine over the bow on our Winter trip up north from somewhere around early May.

I am a little concerned about the total weight involved. But I will use the new trolley for battery and boat when the boat is packed up. Hopefully at my age i can manage and enjoy same.

Hi

The rubber Ducky ( RD) has performed well. We had our maiden voyage a place called Mingo Crossing between Biggerden and Gayndah. in Burnett region of Qld.

Top camp site.

Camped right on the water edge so easy to launch boat. Caught about 120 Red Claws.

Now at Glebe Crossing  where it was not as easy to launch boat. Glebe is out side of Taroom in Qld.

Just set the R.C. nets so be interesting to see how we go tomorrow morning.
