it is a 2011 at the end of the day, new not a lot more, but appreciate your budget is limited. Bit like cop cars , drive em like they stolen, median strips no obstacle etc. cheers Craig
Hi all i put up the post in for sale the Nissan is a local Group car volunteer run mainly driven for maintenance runs on a Sunday not thrashed very little bush work no bush bashing i know the car i am part of the Group
Hi Aussie Paul, looks like a good unit mate , it would be well maintained too , yes they can get driven hard sometimes , depending who's behind the wheel , but that can also be the case for any used vehicle these days ...... the only way to be 100% confident is by buying something new of course , but that costs ...... l see nothing to be worried about with this unit, of course you'd get a check before you'd buy it
Is that Greg Parker the wildlife park owner advertising it ??
Go for it Paul, but don't get the lights and decals taken off, you'll have no trouble getting through traffic, they will just open up for you. But for 20 grand more you can buy a new ute. complete and ready to tow.

They was my thoughts too but new they are $78000 plus towbar/bullbar etc and only available in petrol.
My ute cost about $43,000 complete with towbar and pro-tow. Another $6000 for the canopy. 4x4, lockable diff, etc. 3.2 motor, the most powerful still in the field. 350kg towball and 6000 combined mass. What more do you want. Have you enquired about a change over price?
Sorry forgot $1800-2000 for upgraded springs and shocks on the rear.

Looks good Paul. A GVM upgrade will only give you 10% (in my case 304Kg with a 2004 Patrol).
And while my wagon was in good condition, it had a few more kms on it than this one (just 271,000) & it cost around the same ($33,000). And RACQ Insurance valued it at that amount too.
However in Nth Qld, 4.2L TD Patrols are almost as rare as hens' teeth! The trip I'm on at the moment (home tomorrow) - without the van, I'm averaging between 8.6 & 9.7Kms to the litre of fuel. I'm happy!

Hi Paul,
Just saw you post.
Be very careful if considering a 3 litre crd diesel Nissan Patrol.
They have an inherant problem with the engine whereby the oil supply to the bore can be faulty and causing the pistons to overheat and cause susequent failure of the engine.
It is a well known fault with these engines and is actively discussed on 4WD forums.
Do your research before purchase.
Here is such a discussion. The second post provides another link.
