Fridge EvaKool 12 volt upright and eBay reseller

Usual disclaimer, I am not associated with anyone, selling anything

I recommend EvaKool a fridge stockist, and mygenerator an eBay reseller, as a satisfied customer

Recently purchased an EvaKool 110 litre Platinum 12 volt upright fridge from mygenerator on eBay, as local suppliers do not stock upright fridges

mygenerator is an Australian reseller with a 100% positive feedback, at the time of writing

The fridge made for EvaKool, is the only fridge of this size (to my knowledge), which has a climate rating of "T+"

The fridge came in a transit damaged carton, and cosmetic damage to the top left rear corner
I notified mygenerator, who immediately notified EvaKool, my main concern was about my two year warranty if I had taken it in for any future repairs, with a damaged exterior

By the time I had set the fridge up, to make sure that it was operating and cycling OK, NSW had shut down for the weekend.

EvaKool confirmed what I already knew, that the damage was cosmetic, their warranty still stands, and they kindly (without any prompting from my end), gave me a $100 refund

I have now run this fridge for nearly two weeks and this is what I have found

Temperature inside the motorhome got up to just over 35°C on some days
(MY gas three way fridge was hopeless while on gas, at anything over 32°C)

With the temperature dial set at #4, the fridge cycled (in daylight hours) approximately 50% on/off
Amps were 4.5 to 5.5 depending on where the cycling was at, and of course 0 amps when the fridge cycled off
Freezer cycled off at around minus 21°C, and then back on around minus 15°C
Fridge cycled off at around minus 1.5°C and then back on around plus 1°C

I have a 300 watt solar panel on the roof, and two x 120 AH Bosch AGM batteries
The vehicle is parked east west, the solar gets the full sun until about just after noon
After about noon, the roof air conditioner throws a shadow across the solar panel
I have not seen the batteries lower than 12.7 volts, (in the morning before the sun is up)

I shall be going on a road trip to the East in a couple of weeks
I shall report back if I require any extra battery/solar etc
