Hello - Could you please advise? I have just bought a brand new Toyota Rav 4, 2.5 L AWD petrol 5 door wagon and have seen a Jayco Penguin 2015 model that I would like to buy. Would the Rav 4 tow this safely weight wise. Many thanks - Ruth
Rav 4 max towing rated at 1500kg.
As long as the ATM of the penguin, and there are a few different size models, so check the plate for the ATM.
If its under the 1500kg limit of the Rav4 , yes its fine.
Gutsy little 2.5L toyota motor will handle it well,
you will find an increase of fuel consumption by 1/3 to 1/2 depending on driving,
thats average and normal.
