Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen - Aston Martin Vanquish convertibles – caravans.

Gday...

YOU own a Formula 1 team, have two top Formula 1 drivers on your payroll, and want to make a video to promote the upcoming grand prix at the Formula 1 track you own.

What would you do for the video?

They certainly looked as though they enjoyed themselves, Rocky

I wonder how long before Adrian Newey, designs a carbon fibre racing caravan, for their next F1 Red Bull Ring, track promotion video

As a Member of Classic and Vintage Caravan Forums, I have to say that this act of deliberate Vandalism of a couple of old Caravans, is a disgrace to say the least.

To see these Caravans destroyed in this way was nothing more than pathetic vandalism, !!!

It was a sad day for those who value, and are passionate about the restoration and preservation of these older Caravans, which in the not to distance future, will only be a memory of the good times we had when young.

"Good One"  Ricciardo & Verstappen ......you've lost our vote. nonono

I really get annoyed with wrecking any sort of machinery. nod.gif

I was taught to treat our machinery with gentleness and care otherwise we would have gone broke.

Makes me cringe to see machinery treated harshly.nod.gif

I know I am probably the odd one out again. nod.gif

GEEZ KJ and AP no no have a good look at the video agen .. they are NOT actual caravans hmm

It is all staged as a 'promotional/marketing" video. This is a 'snip' I took from the video ...

I think you could be wrong on this one John,

After working with Caravans for over 40 years, I think I can recognize a caravan when I see one,

Your snip from the clip, shows the body half off the floor panels.

Definitely 'shell' caravans - in the opening scene with Verstappen sitting beside his van, you can see the ultra high performance Pirelli P-Zero tyres on the van - no-one would run P-Zero's on a lowly caravan .................  unless they wanted to race it !!!

And  ..................... the boys at Top Gear have trashed many, many caravans in their TV shows over the years - it is one of their favorite pastimes.

Now let's get this straight,  First off John, you said they were not Caravans, they were Mock ups,

Now you say they are Caravan shells ???

Ya had me wondering for a minute there, if I was looking at a couple of boats !!!  LOL

I agree with you, there is no furnishings in these vans and they may have been constructed for promotional purposes, but the fact remains,  They are ( or were )Caravans ,Right ???

As for those other Idiots who were on that TOP GEAR show , they  were no better ,They not only wrecked caravans, they wrecked just about everything they laid their hands on,  Where are they now ???  probably working off the costs of repairs  LOL

Anyway I rest my case ( before the Bun's start flying )  They were Caravans, and they would have made some poor folk, happy to get them and make something enjoyable out of them.  the end "Good night"

K.J..

Lighten up, not every old piece of junk caravan can be restored to its previous glory, some are destined for the scrap heap.
