Satellite phones/carrier/plans

Hi all

I am a solo traveller currently getting ready for my first trip. I would really appreciate hearing about anyone's experience on  satellite phones and carrier/plan for remote Queensland. I am heading from the QLD east coast through Mt Isa to the Gulf remote towns and will be staying up there for several months for work so would like to ensure I have effective telecommunications as necessary.

Many thanks, J smile

Hey.

Have a look on Net.

There are ones nowadays that are combination. Sat and normal Blue tick.

When in range of normal service they use and charge Normal (or thereabouts) rate.
when out of that range,.
The sat system kicks in and you pay Sat prices.

The call costs used to depend on plan taken out.

There are also second hand. or hire services too, Depending.

Maybe type up Sat phone Forums on Google hey.

Have fun and Hi.

WWW.Satphones sales.

Will bring up a dealer that covers ALL 4 systems avail in oz.
. 99.9% of all phones and costing.
with pretty good info on it all. When. where. and how.

There will be little "lurks" as there is to all things.
Satphone forums will probably point you.

Have fun.

and look at Spot services etc. They interesting too.
and a lot cheaper.
