It's not a problem if you don't have a fire, leave rubbish around or let grey water on ground so close to the water. That said not everyone does the right thing though.

As I said in another recent thread; Wiki Camps et al often cause more trouble than they provide value.

In times past the d!ckheads who pollute and scatter rubbish would have been too lazy to find camps which were not already well known and which most of the more discerning avoided but now a $5 app and they have access to as many beautiful places as you people are prepared to sacrifice to them.

Thanks for posting this brickies

Although I do not think that it is the Grey Nomads from this forum, who leave their litter laying around.

We are unfortunately all tarred with the same brush, as those travellers, old as well as young, who for whatever reasons, like to leave a monument to themselves, made from rubbish

In my opinion, and I do hope that I am wrong, the free camp in question, is ammunition for those who for whatever reason, would like to see the free camps closed

Perhaps cleaner free camps will eventually come through education
I do not expect the local council, to spend money on a free camp clean-up, unless there is proof that their area is benefiting financially

I do not have the answer

But...

I like to think that I am doing my bit, and pick up some of the rubbish when the bins are not full
