SERENITY ????????

Now I love Greens Lake but when a large group of friends arrive and set up next to you with two generators and the noisy end facing me going from 8.00am til 11.30pm ish, every day Greens is far from serenity. Bugga 'em. I know some of you would say to cut the power cords, put sugar in the tanks or just leave but that would lower my standards to their level and I like to think I am just a bit better than that. I concider my neighbours at all times. Yes, I use a gene but these days only when needed for running aircon when free/alternative camping in my aluminium tee pee and that's only around 40c+.

I did speak to them nicely the first morning but was told to "deal with it". Double bugga 'em.

Hopefully they will be gone tonight OR I MIGHT. Tripple bugga 'em.

That's the bit that gets me Doug. Can put up with the noise but the fumes really are a bit much. Maybe you could move it during the night?

That must be a relief. You can stay a bit longer now.

Oh, Doug, how awful. I admire your control. I am not sure I would have been so generous. It speaks volumes for the fellow who said 'deal with it'. What a piece of work he must be. I would love to think that karma with catch up to him one day. How nice it would be there to see it hit him in his 'foul' mouth... sorry, I think I may have just fallen to hi level :-0

It's been mid 30's for the last week Ken. It's now a long weekend and another generator going ALL night every night so far. IMO even if they have some health issue and need it for sleeping they should sort some 12v or something else out. Why should we all loose sleep so they can sleep. Oh well.

We tied Dave up during the week so he didn't fall down any steps cos it was that time last year he did fall down the step.

Summer is over and Autum is here and moving quickly so the cold is not far away but I will be by then biggrin

I wonder what the answer is to this real issue. I know we all have the right to do whatever we want when we want but surely there has to be some consideration for our neighbors. Will it come down to a dedicated place for those who want to avoid generators?

I have no issue with anyone using a generator. I have one and use it when necessary, however, it is never pointing in a direction  that sends noise to others. It is also never on after a reasonable hour. Is this too much to ask of all generator users?
