Eye floaters . Learn something everyday .,

I have this spider web and spider that won't go away .  Off to optiominist tomarrow . I also get flashes in one eye . Seems my pixels are breaking down !!  Has anyone had this ?  There are two or three things that need attention asap .  Floaters can be many things . Better get eyes checked more often ! Last time was 20 years ago !

My right eye is like a fly on web . As I move my eye it moves or disapears for a a short time . In the past due to occupation I've had two bad electical flashes with burnt face, retinas . Like welding flash but 10 times worse .. So is the pain ! But been fine the last 15 or so years . Maybe these things are catching up ??

I have the same as you Aus-Kiwi. Mine is called Posterier Vitriol Detachment. Just had it checked since coming home. It hasn't worsened but when it does it will require an operation to repair the damage.
Has been like this for about 5 years and so far hasn't got to the dangerous stage.

ASAP AK, possible retina detachment which can be very serious.

Aus-Kiwi,it is good you are getting it seen to tomorrow,I had flashes in my left eye in the 1970's.it turned out to be a detached retina.

Operated on it the next day.I go to the optometrist every 6 months for a checkup. They have a camera now that takes a photo of your eyes,it shows all your floaters and your retina without having to put drops in to dilate your pupil.wish you the best, hope it is nothing to serious.

I have an eye floater, happened after a very stressful hour when I thought I had lost my handbag with money, cards, all my passwords and phone, never had it before but have had it ever since ........... that was about 15 months ago, hasn't effected my sight at all but comes and goes whenever it feels like it.

She has taken pics etc . But says to get 100% check its best to have the drops . Just what optometrist said . Please I'm not debating or disagreeing . I've never heard of this before . As they say . Never too old to learn ! Wear all the eye safety gear now while metal fabricating . Used plasma cutter today .,

You need to seek medical attention ASAP.  Spider web and flashing is symptom of detached or bleeding retina which is serious. Don't delay in seeking treatment.

Glad of the outcome, but I bet you won't leave it so long before an eye test in the future!!! Take care.

Now that I have been cleared of any bad issues yes . But it wouldn't have made any difference in my case .. Just lucky I haven't got anything wrong . Yes it pays to get onto health issues before they take your health ! I've had some fair chunks cut out due to melonoma possibilities. Having worked outside over the years . One thing I'll wear eye protection MUCH more and better as I do a lot of metal fabricating and welding . Those eye test machines REALLY show up how bad your eyes can be .. The lenses to correct are not that strong however . But I drive MR vehicle so want the best sight for safety ! Or any vehicle .. Things change so sutelly as we get older !!
