Blogs and web pages.

Just putting this out there for Cindy to consider and comments from the forum.

So many people have blogs or web pages for their travels. Do you think a permanent thread for people who wish to share would be a good idea.

As long as it is used for that reason and not like other sections where people put posts up that would be better suited to another section. So,

One word.....YES.

I don't do blogs and web pages but I like to read what others are up too. I read your 2016 entries yesterday NeilandRaine and I've been reading yours Dougwe and Dunmowins. They tell me of places I might like to visit while out and about and the photos are appreciated. Thanks.

I think it may work better as a Sticky instead of yet another forum page. It would then stay on top of the main general forum page as other Stickies do like 'PICK THIS PLACE' and 'MAGIC PLACES YOU HAVE BEEN'. Call it something like  "MEMBERS' TRAVEL BLOGS"

X2 for a sticky, I think that would be a good idea.

My 2016 trip is up to date, June 15th - July 28th

A sticky would be great. I love reading other peoples blogs and monthly reports. It gives me great ideas on places to go and things to see on the way.

Regardless of whether it is a dedicated thread or a sticky, I think it is a great idea. I have PM's Cindy a couple of times on this subject, and not had a reply.

Hi all,
Thanks for your suggestions and apologies for the delay with this.  I think it is a great idea and I have now included a 'sticky' at the top of 'General' for people to include links to their blogs (or to include posts containing some or all of their blogs if they prefer).  I'm sure that reading about other members' experiences will be really interesting as well as providing some valuable advice and insights.  Enjoy!
