We have 6 ceiling lights in our Coromal Princeston van and even with the cover off the light is still very dull. Can not find the brand but the are made in UK by Cableform HX62ph.
All other references are in European languages.
We are thinking of replacing these dull lights with ceiling led lights.
Have just replaced the out door under awning side lights and boy does it make a difference
No doubt others have done same, so can we pick your brains re the success and benefits of going for the change over. And where did you buy the led lights??. ( Note lights ...not.... bulbs are what we are replacing.
Try a company called myled.com Google them and you will find a huge range of LED items from Bulbs to Auto lights.
Over the last three years I have bought around twenty-five different items and only had one dud broken in transit. It was a night light for $2.75 so I did not even bother about returning it for replacement. Postage would have been more.
It can take three weeks to get through the mail.
One item I did buy which may interest you is the T8 Tube 240 volt mini fluro look LED at $7.95. It has an adaptor to connect to another one to make a longer run. It can be stuck to the ceiling with double sided tape. Compact and a nice light output,
It can be interesting to see what is powered by LED's once you search the site.

I went thru this exercise 1 year or so ago - to find that the overhead "shoe-box-lid sized lights were not available as swappable LED lights.
So I chased up some LED bulb units from a fellow camper called "MadAboutLED.com". A selection of LED strips soon turned in in the post with instructions for undoing the 2 wires from the old fluoro bulbs and reclipping the LED 2 wires and .... wow what a difference it makes
Could be worth a lookup for you too

I have just replaced one of my 12 flouro lights in our van. I cannot remember the brand name but I purchased it from a caravan spare parts shop in Rosebud. It has about 60 LEDs in a circular board which is the same size as a 12 volt flouro. I would think that most caravan spare parts shops would sell them, about $30 or so and gives heaps of light.
We only replaced one flouro fitting as it provides plenty of light for the van.

You may not need to replace the whole light fitting, most fittings can be easily converted to LED the trick is getting the right one. If you can post a photo of the light fitting with and without the cover it might be able to suggest a suitable LED for conversion.

A couple of months ago I bought two from a lighting shop for $19-95. Then I got onto Ebay and bought 10 from China for around $12 with free postage. When they arrived they were the same brand and box as the first two !!!!!!

I'm in process of doing now.
Coromal here too. My 5 int lights have big holes in roof behind them.
I'm replacing the 12v elements with 12v LED's. Yet to find right ones.
What I've done below with reading lights make a big difference and cost around $15/17.
Now reading in WHITE light.
ALL lighting is 12v, no 240v. Only plug sockets.
What I've done so far. is run a 5 mtr LED Waterproof strip light along under Rollout.
Plus under sail Track riveted onto other side of van for shelter/carport/shower tent.
Bought 5 x 12in LED's rigid, and wired them into reading lights around van.
Self adhesived them to under side of side cupboards.
Really lights up the seating areas.
2 singles beds not van interior wasting double bed.
Am now deciding whether to change existing 12v light elements for LED's.
or leave them in and wire (self adhesive) a 5 mtr strip along Front to back,
both sides of roof interior.
Wired into sw by door. to light up whole interior.
The 5 mtr strips IPF? 67 water rated. Ebay. $? Around $14/17 ea one with dimmer.
the 12in rigids were $2.45 ea del.from Sydney.
Wouldn't cost too much to change both car and van to LED.
Why would you replace the lights unless you did not like the physical design of them.
Why not just change the bit inside them that makes the light, ie, change the old bulb to an LED replacement.
If you are not entirely comfortable with buying things over the Internet just remove one of the old bulbs and pop down to your nearest Jaycar Electronics store.
Not so cheap as online but they have all the varieties of fittings in stock (usually behind the counter).
Plug and play. Just like changing an old style incandescent at home for a fluorescent.
